thanks to Christian Spanring I’m now part of this game the blogosphere is playing since quite some time. so, without further ado, 5 things you probably didn’t know about me:

1. my very first home-computer was a Commodore 128D, my first TV-video-game the Philips Videopac G7200 (this cutie even had a BASIC-module!).
2. though I can’t prove it on paper, I’m absolutely convinced that I share bloodlines with Josef Hader, Austrian comedian/actor. I consider the fact that my parents were born in the very same part of the country, and that my mother’s maiden-name is “Hader” sufficient evidence…
3. as a teenager, I had roles in two (amateur) plays, “Der Zerissene” & “Liebesgeschichten & Heiratssachen”, both written by Johann Nestroy.
4. during my 20ies, I started learning the Spanish language three times - without much success, obviously
5. nonsmokingarea.com - planning to kick a bad habit, I originally registered this domain in 2005. since it took me another year to actually quit smoking, the domain kept blank for a while. in early 2006, after more than 10 unhealthy years, I finally extinguished my final fag. haven’t looked back since (well…). when I started blogging later that year, nonsmokingarea.com was still empty, so I gave it a shot. [for the record: I'm in no way a militant anti-smoker]
