Google Apps: new file management

Google just spiced up Docs & Spreadsheets with an improved file-manager, including - lo and behold - the ability to store documents in a folder-structure (initial folders are automatically built based on given tagging). don’t expect Gmail to follow this anytime soon, though ;)

hehe, honestly it took me quite a while to abolish the hierarchical concept to folders mentally :) … but as a gmail-user I’m totally happy now without them.

plus: Google Docs’ folders are more like just another way displaying tagging-metadata, since files/documents can be placed into mulitple folders (=tags) at the same time…
