Woopra – web analytics on steroids

if you like Google Analytics, you’ll probably fall in love with Woopra. currently in public beta, Woopra works similar and does the same as Analytics – only live. let it run in the background, and Woopra’s client (available for Mac & Windows) will show you details of every visitor as he enters your site. you can even configure the client to give you (accoustic) alerts, but – please – don’t do this for sites generating even mediocre traffic, as it might kill your productivity
.

visitors are displayed with their geographic information, browser, OS, screen resolution, navigation path etc. repeating visitors are recognized and can be tagged. as a bonus, Woopra offers an integrated chat-feature to communicate directly with your visitors.

While Woopra works for every website (just install the obligatory JavaScript-snippet), they also offer a WordPress-plugin for extended functionality (like tracking searches and filtering out hits on the backend).
Notice: being in private beta, it might take a few days to register new sites for Woopra. also keep in mind that they probably are going to charge for their service, once they’re out of beta (and rightly so, I’ld say).

Thank you for introducing this resource to others. I am still learning web analytics so I appreciate it.
